Strengthening Gender Programming in PEPFAR: Best Practices, Program Models and Resources
October 2012, Johannesburg, South Africa- This technical exchange brought together Gender Focal Points from PEPFAR country teams and headquarters to provide a technical update on gender and HIV within the context of PEPFAR, and share implementation successes and challenges from a variety of country settings. The exchange provided a forum for fostering collaboration across countries, sharing resources, identifying ongoing needs, and addressing long-term planning. Presentations included an update on progress to date, gender integration, gender and monitoring and evaluation, and panel discussions sharing country experiences.
